Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how EffexLabs Pvt Ltd ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the EF 3D Viewer mobile application (the "App").

Effective date: July 19, 2026App: EF 3D ViewerPackage ID: com.effexlabs.viewer3d

1. Who we are

EF 3D Viewer is a utility app for viewing local 3D mesh files (STL, OBJ, and PLY), published by EffexLabs Pvt Ltd (Kochi, Kerala, India). The App does not require an account and does not provide user login.

Company website: https://www.effexlabs.com

2. Information we collect and use

On-device data and files you open

The App may store the following locally on your device:

  • In-app notification inbox items received by the App
  • Temporary copies or caches needed to render a model you open

When you choose Open file, the App reads the 3D model you select (for example .stl, .obj, or .ply) so it can display the mesh on your device. Those files are processed on-device for viewing. EffexLabs does not operate a cloud upload service in this App that sends your model files to EffexLabs servers.

Local App data stays on your device unless you clear app data or uninstall the App.

Permissions and technical data

The App may request:

  • Internet - to load ads, fonts, and receive push messages
  • Notifications - to show optional push / local alerts (Android 13+)
  • File / document access - only when you pick a model to open (via the system file picker)

When the App communicates with Google or other network services, standard technical data such as IP address, device type, and app version may be processed by those services as part of normal internet traffic.

The App does not ask for camera, microphone, contacts, or precise location. It only accesses files you explicitly select to view.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

EF 3D Viewer shows advertisements using Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads), including banner ads. Ad delivery may involve processing of device identifiers such as the Android Advertising ID, approximate location derived from IP, and interaction data related to ad serving and measurement.

Google's use of information is governed by Google's policies, including: Google Privacy Policy and AdMob & AdSense program policies.

You can limit ad personalization in your device settings (for example, Android advertising / ads personalization controls) or through Google's ad settings where available.

4. Push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging)

The App may use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver optional push notifications (for example, game tips or product updates). If you grant notification permission, a device push token may be generated and processed by Google Firebase to deliver messages.

Learn more: Firebase Privacy and Security.

You can disable notifications in your device system settings at any time.

5. Third-party services

Depending on your device and App version, the App may use:

  • Google AdMob — advertising and ad measurement
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging — push notification delivery
  • Google Fonts — fonts may be downloaded from Google's servers when the App loads typography

These providers process data under their own privacy policies.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only:

  • With advertising and infrastructure providers needed to operate the App (for example Google AdMob / Firebase)
  • When required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and security
  • With service providers who support EffexLabs under appropriate confidentiality obligations

7. Data retention

Local App data and caches remain on your device until you clear App storage or uninstall the App. Model files you opened remain in their original location unless you delete them yourself. Advertising and push infrastructure data retained by Google is governed by Google's retention practices.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical measures appropriate for a consumer mobile utility app. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.

9. Your choices and rights

  • Clear App data or uninstall the App to remove local notification history and App caches stored on device
  • Disable notifications in system settings
  • Adjust advertising / personalization settings on your device
  • Contact us (below) for privacy questions; depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable law

10. Children's privacy

EF 3D Viewer is a general-audience utility app and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for the purpose of creating accounts. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us inappropriately, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Because the App includes third-party advertising, parents and guardians should review device-level parental controls and ad settings.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy at this URL and update the effective date above. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
